POST WAR 5 INCH HEAVY DUTY




The first gun pictured was shipped from the factory on March 17, 1954 to Whitney Sporting Goods, Company, Denver Colorado.  It was shipped with a 5 inch barrel, blue finish and checkered walnut magna grips.


















The second gun was shipped from the factory on April 8, 1964 to Stratton & Terstegge Co., Louisville, Kentucky.  It was most likely manufactured in 1955.  It was shipped with a 5 inch barrel, nickel finish and checkered walnut magna grips.


 

 

 

The last handgun pictured was shipped from the factory on January 28, 1958 to Gopher Shooters Supply Co., Faribault, Minnesota.  It was shipped with a 5 inch barrel, nickel finish and checkered walnut magna grips.  The full coverage engraving was done by American Master Craftsman, Neil Hartliep.  Neil Hartliep normally engraved high grade shotguns and rifles.  He usually engraved handguns for customers who were having long guns engraved.  Neil authored the NRA's manual on how to engrave.
